A Lease Plan is a detailed plan of your property. If you bought an existing lease, have an assigned lease with more than seven years left on it or a new lease which is older than seven years, The Land Registration Act requires you to register it with a compliant Lease Plan.

We work with agents, solicitors, freeholders and leaseholders to provide fully RICS code of measurement compliant lease plans and floor plans.

To comply with the Land Registration Act, Lease Plans must be

  • Drawn to an appropriate metric unit scale (to two decimal places) with a North point
  • Detailed enough that the land (including garages, bin stores or garden ground) can be identified on an Ordnance Survey map
  • Coloured, edgded or hatched in a way that makes the property identifiable
  • Able to identify different flooring levels on the plan and in verbal description in the lease
  • Signed by the landlord
  • Provided with a copy lease containing an exact copy of the original plan
